Akin ("the App") is provided by Digital Thinker Lab ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it on iPhone and other Apple devices.
1. Overview: Akin is a conversation and relationship app designed to present question cards and related app content. We aim to collect as little information as possible and only use data that is necessary to operate, improve, and support the App.
2. Information We Collect: Depending on how Akin is configured, we may process information stored on your device (preferences, onboarding status, selected categories, progress, purchase status cache, local settings), purchase-related information validated through Apple and optionally RevenueCat, and diagnostics data such as app version, device model, OS version, crash logs, and technical events.
3. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect: Unless a feature explicitly requires it, Akin does not intentionally collect contacts, photos, microphone audio, camera data, precise location, messages, or payment card details.
4. How We Use Information: We use information to provide app features, save your progress, verify purchases, prevent abuse, fix bugs, improve reliability, analyze technical performance, and comply with legal obligations.
5. Legal Basis: Where applicable, we process data under contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and consent when required by law.
6. Sharing: We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be shared with Apple, RevenueCat (if used), and technical service providers for analytics, crash reporting, infrastructure, or support.
7. Retention: We retain information only as long as necessary to operate the App, maintain purchase access, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law. Device-stored data may remain until you delete the app or clear local data.
8. Deletion and Choices: You may request deletion of personal data we control by contacting hello@digitalthinkerlab.com. You may also stop all collection by uninstalling the App.
9. International Transfers: Data may be processed outside your country depending on provider locations. We apply reasonable safeguards where required.
10. Children's Privacy: Akin is not directed to children under 13 (or higher local minimum age). If you believe a child submitted personal data, contact us for review and deletion where appropriate.
11. Security: We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system is fully secure.
12. Third-Party Services: Akin may rely on providers such as Apple, RevenueCat, crash reporting, analytics, and hosting/infrastructure partners. Their services are also governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
13. Your Rights: Depending on location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, and complaint rights with supervisory authorities by contacting us.
14. Changes: We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date and may be communicated in-app or on our website.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Akin, provided by Digital Thinker Lab ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading or using Akin, you agree to these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use: You agree not to misuse the App, interfere with services, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer where prohibited by law, or use Akin for unlawful or abusive behavior.
