Terms of Use
Effective date: April 15, 2026
Last updated: April 15, 2026
Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using any mobile application, website, product, or service provided by Digital Thinker Lab ("we," "our," or "us").
These Terms apply to all Digital Thinker Lab apps and services, including Akin, ExamMate, Time Kids, and any other apps or services we may release, collectively referred to as the "Apps" or "Services."
By downloading, accessing, or using our Apps, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Apps.
1. Who we are
Digital Thinker Lab publishes mobile applications on the Apple App Store and related platforms.

2. Use of our Apps
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use our Apps for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and any applicable App Store rules.
You agree not to misuse our Apps, attempt to reverse engineer them, copy them, modify them, distribute them, interfere with their operation, or use them for unlawful, harmful, abusive, or unauthorized purposes.
3. App Store terms
If you download our Apps through the Apple App Store, your use of the Apps may also be governed by Apple's applicable terms, including Apple's standard End User License Agreement and App Store rules.
Apple is responsible for processing App Store payments, subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds according to Apple's own policies.
4. Accounts
Some of our Apps may not require an account. If an App allows or requires you to create an account, you agree to provide accurate and current information.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
If an App does not use accounts, certain features, progress, settings, or content may be stored only on your device and may be lost if you delete the App or change devices.
5. Subscriptions, free trials, and in-app purchases
Some Apps may offer premium features through in-app purchases, subscriptions, lifetime unlocks, free trials, or other paid options.
Payments are processed by Apple or the applicable app marketplace. We do not receive your full payment card details.
If you purchase an auto-renewable subscription, it will automatically renew unless canceled according to Apple's rules. Your Apple ID account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
If a free trial is offered, the trial length and price after the trial will be shown before purchase. If you do not want to continue after the trial, you must cancel before the trial converts into a paid subscription according to Apple's cancellation rules.
Subscription features, prices, trial availability, and billing periods may vary by country, region, App, promotion, or user eligibility.
6. Refunds
Refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store are handled by Apple, not by Digital Thinker Lab.
We cannot guarantee that Apple will approve a refund request. If you want to request a refund, you must do so through Apple's refund process or the applicable app marketplace.
7. Premium access and restore purchases
If an App includes premium access, we may use Apple, RevenueCat, or similar providers to verify your purchase, subscription status, entitlement status, or free trial eligibility.
If you change devices, reinstall an App, or lose access to premium features, you may use the "Restore Purchases" option where available.
Premium access may depend on Apple, RevenueCat, your App Store account, your internet connection, and the availability of third-party services.
8. AI-assisted features
Some Apps may include AI-assisted features, such as study plans, quizzes, summaries, topic suggestions, weak-topic review, relationship prompts, personalized content, reminders, or other generated outputs.
AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, inappropriate, or not suitable for your specific situation. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI-generated content before relying on it.
AI features are provided for educational, productivity, entertainment, planning, reflection, or informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional advice, medical advice, legal advice, financial advice, psychological advice, therapy, counseling, or your own judgment.
Do not enter sensitive personal information, confidential information, or information about other people into AI features unless you have permission to do so.
We may limit, change, suspend, or remove AI features at any time, including to manage cost, safety, abuse, reliability, or provider availability.
9. ExamMate disclaimer
ExamMate is designed to help users organize exam dates, countdowns, focus sessions, study plans, reminders, quizzes, and study routines.
ExamMate does not guarantee better grades, exam success, admission results, certification results, or any specific academic outcome.
You are responsible for your own study decisions, exam preparation, learning, and use of any study material generated or suggested by the App.
10. Akin disclaimer
Akin is designed to provide questions, prompts, conversation ideas, and relationship or friendship reflection content.
Akin is not therapy, relationship counseling, mental health treatment, or professional advice. The App does not guarantee relationship improvement, compatibility, conflict resolution, or any personal outcome.
You are responsible for how you use the prompts and for respecting the consent, boundaries, privacy, and comfort of other people.
11. Time Kids and family-related apps
Some Apps may be designed for parents or guardians to manage routines, timers, tasks, focus sessions, or activities involving children.
These Apps are intended to be used by parents or guardians, or by children under parent or guardian supervision.
Parents and guardians are responsible for deciding whether an App is appropriate for a child and for supervising its use.
12. User content
Some Apps may allow you to enter, save, generate, or interact with content, including exam names, study topics, notes, prompts, responses, reminders, questions, or other information.
You retain responsibility for the content you enter into our Apps.
You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, abusive, hateful, harassing, defamatory, invasive of privacy, sexually exploitative, harmful to minors, or that infringes the rights of others.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit any content you provide.
13. Intellectual property
Our Apps, designs, logos, names, text, graphics, features, software, content, and other materials are owned by Digital Thinker Lab or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from our Apps or content unless we give you written permission.
All trademarks, logos, and brand names belong to their respective owners.
14. Third-party services
Our Apps may use third-party services, including Apple, RevenueCat, OpenAI or similar AI providers, analytics providers, crash reporting providers, hosting providers, infrastructure providers, and support tools.
We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, policies, availability, performance, or content.
Your use of third-party services may also be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
15. Availability and changes
We may update, change, suspend, discontinue, or remove any part of our Apps at any time.
We do not guarantee that our Apps will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or compatible with every device, operating system, or region.
Some features may require internet access, active subscriptions, App Store availability, third-party services, or specific device permissions.
16. Prohibited uses
You agree not to:
- Use our Apps for illegal, harmful, abusive, fraudulent, or unauthorized purposes;
- Attempt to access systems, data, or features without permission;
- Interfere with the security, availability, or operation of our Apps;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the Apps;
- Use automated systems to abuse, overload, scrape, or attack the Apps;
- Use AI features to generate harmful, illegal, deceptive, or rights-infringing content;
- Violate the privacy, intellectual property, or other rights of any person.
17. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to our Apps or Services if you violate these Terms, misuse our Apps, create risk for us or others, or if we discontinue an App or feature.
You may stop using our Apps at any time by deleting them from your device.
Termination does not automatically cancel active subscriptions. You must cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID or applicable app marketplace account settings.
18. Disclaimer of warranties
Our Apps and Services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, security, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the Apps will meet your expectations, produce specific results, improve academic performance, improve relationships, prevent mistakes, or be free of errors.
19. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Digital Thinker Lab and its owners, employees, contractors, partners, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages.
This includes, but is not limited to, loss of profits, loss of data, loss of access, device issues, academic outcomes, relationship outcomes, subscription issues, service interruptions, or reliance on AI-generated content.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Apps or Services will be limited to the amount you paid to us for the App or Service in the 12 months before the claim, or the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
20. Privacy
Your use of our Apps is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
You can view our Privacy Policy at: https://digitalthinkerlab.com/privacy-policy-for-digitalthinkerlab/
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and may provide notice in an App or on our website.
By continuing to use our Apps after changes become effective, you agree to the updated Terms.
22. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict of law rules.
Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights you may have under the laws of your country or region.
